The Full Plan

A school board member who doesn't ask hard questions about spending isn't doing their job. I will ensure every tax dollar is being effectively and appropriately spent.

Budget transparency isn't a partisan issue... it is basic accountability. When spending decisions are made behind closed doors and reported in jargon-heavy documents that most parents don't have time to understand: basic oversight by the electorate fails.

I will work to ensure that the gap between the central office and Ward 9 residents loosens, where a greater effort is made by the school system to connect with every stakeholder.

Specific Commitments

01

Plain-language budget summaries. I will advocate for simplified, publicly available budget documents that any Ward 9 parent can understand — not just financial professionals.

02

Ask the hard questions. Before every budget vote, I will push for detailed explanations of major expenditures and ensure the public understands what the school board is approving.

03

Track spending against outcomes. Money should produce results. I will advocate for connecting budget decisions to measurable student outcomes so the community can determine whether spending is working.
