The Full Plan

I want every kid who walks across that graduation stage to be genuinely ready for what comes next. That means honest conversations about where our students are performing, what's working, and what isn't — not just the numbers that make the district look good.

Student success has to be measured honestly. That means looking beyond surface-level metrics and asking whether students in Ward 9 are genuinely learning the skills they need — to enter the workforce, pursue higher education, or contribute to their communities.

Brandon believes the school board has a responsibility to demand rigorous, transparent reporting on student outcomes — and to hold the district accountable when those outcomes aren't improving. That includes asking what interventions are being used for struggling students and whether those interventions actually work.

At the same time, Brandon recognizes that students have different goals and pathways. A strong school system provides options: rigorous academic tracks, vocational and technical training, and meaningful extracurriculars that keep students engaged and invested in their education.

Specific Commitments

01

Demand honest outcome reporting. Brandon will push for clear, school-by-school performance data that Ward 9 families can actually use to understand how their children's schools are doing.

02

Support early intervention. Students who fall behind in early grades rarely catch up without targeted support. Brandon will advocate for resources that identify and help struggling students early.

03

Expand career and technical pathways. Not every student is headed to a four-year university — and that's okay. Brandon supports strengthening vocational and technical programs that prepare students for skilled trades and careers.

04

Celebrate and protect extracurriculars. Sports, arts, clubs, and activities keep students connected to school. Brandon will fight to protect these programs when budgets get tight.
